Permanent Secretary for Defence and National Security, Osea Cawaru officiated at the 48TH FIJI Day Anniversary Media Launch today.

Cawaru highlighted that Government in its unwavering commitment in ensuring that “No one is Left Behind” and prosperity is spread as widely as possible has decided to stage the main Celebrations in LABASA, the Friendly North, on Wednesday 10th October 2018.

He also mentioned that the main celebration in Labasa, the day program begins with a march through town to Subrail Park by school children, members of the private and public sectors and members of the community. This will be followed with a stunning spectacle of Military Parade and culminating with a Military Tattoo in the evening where Subrail Park will erupt in flashing lights, harmonious coordination and display of the Military and Police Marching Bands together with school children from selected schools and the twanging electric guitars of the one-time favorites QEB serenaders

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Progressing Together Leaving No Fijian Behind”.
