Fiji Airways has confirmed that they are taking all necessary precautions in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.
Fiji Airways will disclose all relevant information of the flight crew to help back-trace who they’ve come into contact with.
Fiji Airways Executive General Manager, Shared Business Services, Gordon Penfold says, Fiji Airways is working together with authorities.
“Fiji Airways confirms that one of it’s flight attendants has tested positive for the Coronavirus. The flight attendant’s recent travel history was to the United States and New Zealand. The flight attendant had undergone screening processes by the Health Ministry on each return to Fiji. The flight attendant reported to the Lautoka Hospital on March 17th and was tested for the Coronavirus. Fiji Airways defers to the Ministry’s advice on anyone who may have concerns about being in contact with the flight attendant. We have provided the relevant details to the Health Ministry and will provide all the necessary assistance required on this matter.We deeply regret the situation and we will be rendering our assistance to the Ministry of Health.”
