The Fiji Airways men’s 7s side will play in the Cup quarterfinals in the Vancouver 7s tournament tomorrow.

Fiji finished second in their Group behind Samoa.

The side won their opening match beating Kenya 36 – 12.

Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Alasio Naduva, Terio Veilawa and Sevuloni Mocenacagi scored tries to help Fiji win their opening match.

But Fiji failed to keep the momentum going in the second game.

Canada proved to be stronger of the two side winning 26-19.

Host team took early lead but Terio Veilawa and Sevuloni Mocenacagi socred to level the scores.

Aminiasi Tuimaba and Jerry Tuwai scored again but was not enough as Canada had the final say to win the match.

Fiji then took on Samoa in their final pool match. Only a win would have seen Fiji go through.

They did it in style beating Samoa 31- 19 to progress into the last eight.

Fiji will now face New Zealand in the Cup quarterfinals tomorrow.
