The Fiji Airways Fiji 7s team is ready to ‘kick-off’ the “2020 HSBC World Sevens Series” in Dubai on Friday, when they take on Japan, in the opening pool game.
Fiji is in pool A with Argentina, Japan, and France, and it won’t be a walk in the park for Fiji – as all teams coming into the World Series, will be expected to make a firing start, to the opening round of the HSBC Sevens Series.
Fiji 7’s Head Coach – Gareth Baber, has been with the boys for the past 5 months of ‘off-season’ training, looking to get them to another level, as he knows the challenges that lie ahead.
Fiji’s opening game is against Japan on Friday at 4pm, and Baber anticipates a strongly motivated side.
Fiji takes on Argentina in their second pool game later that evening at 10pm, and then play France in their final pool match on Saturday at 4pm.
France will be coming in more prepared, with high momentum – as they’ll be aiming to avenge their loss to Fiji last season, in Hong Kong.
