The Fiji Airways Mens 7s team that recently returned from the Vancouver 7s tournament have been placed in isolation.
Players, management and officials that travelled with the team are now being monitored for Covid-19.
Speaking from his home, Fiji Rugby Union Chief Executive Officer John O’Connor says the players, including him are now in isolation for 14 days as advised by the Ministry of Health.
He says players won’t feature for their respective clubs in the Marist 7s tournament this weekend.
It is believed the players came in contact with members of the Australian 7s team in Vancouver – two Australian players have been tested as they showed symptoms for coronavirus.
