For the first time ever, communities around the central division have gotten together to assist the Fiji Council of Social Services conduct it’s first ever People’s Livelihood Survey.
The survey has been designed to assess the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on households.
The Fiji Council of Social Services through the People’s Livelihood Survey will be analyzing the extent of damage households have suffered after the COVID 19 pandemic.
Through the survey, many social and economical issues have been brought together by members of individual communities.
The findings from the survey will be used to develop policy advocacy responses
Catanasiga believes this survey will help bring out issues that are causing gaps in government and civil society organizations.
Fiji Council of Social Services is working on piloting small grants in areas around Lami, to assist Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises with business continuity.
