A farmer accused of raping his 15-year-old step grand-daughter has been remanded by the High Court in Suva.
He appeared before Judge Justice Daniel Goundar.
State lawyer Sheenal Swastika informed the court that the prosecution would be objecting to bail as the accused had allegedly committed the offense while on a suspended sentence.
He was previously involved in a charge of indecent assault involving a male child.
The matter will be called on June 12 for bail ruling.
