Remembrance Day is commemorated on November 11th each year and marks the end of World War I in 1918.

The day intends to remember the fallen on both sides in the ‘Great War’.

Yesterday the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) alongside the Fijian government, Fiji Police Force, Fiji Correction Services, Ex-servicemen association, members of the diplomatic corp and the Fijian public commemorated the special day at the National War Memorial Site at Nasese, Suva and also in the Old Capital of Fiji Levuka.

The event was officiated by His-Excellency the President of Fiji Major-General (Retired) Jioji Konrote.
