The “16 Days of of Activism on Gender-Based Violence” that began yesterday – will include trainings and sessions, held throughout the Campaign.
This was confirmed by Fiji Women’s Crisis Center Coordinator – Shamima Ali.
Hundreds gathered during the much-anticipated march at the Flea Market in Suva, to Sukuna Park to show their support and solidarity for the Movement.
“There is a lot of media staff, workshops, specifically we having with men from the west and in Vanua Levu. We’re also starting with a National Workshop with persons living with Disability last week. They’re going to be involved so the days are 25th and we have December 1st which is World AIDs Day and we’re happy to work with and have planned events throughout”
During the 16 Days of Activism on Gender Based Violence there will be counseling and informational booths available in various locations across the county.
The Fiji Women’s Crisis Center hopes the work with organizations like the Police and the Ministry of women and other stakeholders continues to next year.
