This was highlighted by the Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Faiyaz Koya at the USP Entrepreneurial Fair 2021.
We must diversify our economic base, and adapt to the new normal,” Minister Koya said.
“Entrepreneurship means doing business and it is a critical component of our growth and job creation.”
The Minister for Commerce also highlighted a number of programmes to help Fijians become self-sufficient entrepreneurs.
“We provide business advisory services and business savvy training. We have also opened up a dedicated MSME Helpline – 9986014, to become more accessible to our MSMEs.”
The Entrepreneurial Fair hosted by the University of the South Pacific with the theme “Change your World: Become an Entrepreneur” is timely, as the Fijian Government strives to encourage Fijians to become job creators.
