Six people who adrifted in the Lomaiviti Waters yesterday were found last night.

Operations Officer of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Naval Division, Timoci Natuva Junior said the six people left at 3pm in the Lomaiviti Waters but faced engine problems.

After a call was made to the Fiji Military Forces Naval Division, a police team from Levuka was depolyed while the Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre monitored the case.

The six people are in good health and have returned to their families.

Natuva reiterated that emergencies happen at any time and people who are planning to go out at sea should always be prepared.
