The Prime Minister – Voreqe Bainimarama says, the 2018 General Elections will be held before November 22nd this year.
Fiji is to hold the General Elections no later than November 21st, 2018.
It is now up to the Prime Minister to advise the President of Fiji – to dissolve Parliament, and issue the ‘Writ of Elections’.
October 6th is the last day for parliament to be dissolved, as the first parliamentary sitting after the 2014 elections – was on October 6th.
The process under the constitution will take 44 days from the day the ‘Writ of Elections’ is issued.
