“Eco-Challenge Fiji” an ultimate expedition race, has returned to Fiji after a lapse of 17 years, where 60 teams from 30 countries will race non-stop, in Southern Tailevu.
Minister for Industry, Tourism and Trade Premila Kumar says, “Eco-Challenge Fiji”, reaffirms Fiji’s status as an adventure tourism destination.
“Fiji has a modern , progressive and resilient economy that has a lot of pride in what the country can offer to the people.”
The Eco challenge Fiji is the world’s toughest race.
Kumar says in addition to tourism, the event is elevating Fiji’s position as an ideal place for audio-visual productions.
She urged the people and the productive team to tell the world about their experiences of filming in Fiji and market the country for future opportunities.
Fiji has been featured in the US media extensively, and with Eco-challenge expected to increase that reach further and create more interest for productions in Fiji.
