Dr Apisalome Talemaitoga, a Fijian in New Zealand is an adviser to the Ministry of Health and called for attention to the impact of the pandemic on Pacific people.
With over two decades of experience, the proud Fijian shared his thoughts on Fiji’s measures to fight the deadly virus here at home.
Dr Talemaitoga is helping New Zealand with communication for the COVID vaccine roll out.
Speaking from Auckland via zoom, the Vanuabalavu, Lau native had this to say about the much talked about vaccines.
He commended Fiji’s public health measures with now over 300 days of zero community outbreak.
The Chief Health advisor says Fijians in New Zealand are resilient and supported by the Health sector.
New Zealand will start vaccination from this weekend before it will assist the Pacific.
