Rewa goes into the Courts Inter District Championship 2020 on a high note after winning the 2020 Punjas Battle of the Giants Tournament and current leaders of Vodafone Premier League.

This year the Delta Tigers have proven they are a tournament team and have what it takes to come out a tough pool and go ahead and win the tournaments.

They will be out to break their ten year drought. Rewa last won the Courts IDC in 2010 when they defeated Lautoka 3-1 at ANZ Stadium in Suva and ten years on the Delta Tigers will be hoping to roar the loudest at the same venue.

Coach Marika Rodu has a talented squad with mixture of youth and experience players.

Rewa has the services of former national goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau, Sairusi Bokini,Peniame Drova, Setareki Hughes, Anish Khem,Bruce Hughes, Posiano Kalisito, Usaia Tadu, Kavaia Rawaqa, Waisake Navunigasau, Gabrieli Matanisiqa and Ratu Tevita Waranivalu.

Also the Delta Tigers will bank on their youngsters Inoke Turaqalailai, Patrick Joseph, Mohammed Ramzan, France Catarogo, Epeli Valevou and Mohammed Naizal.

Rewa has won the IDC title nine times and were runners-up seven times. The Delta Tigers tasted the first victory of IDC trophy in 1938 beating Ba 3-2 at Albert Park in Suva.

Rewa starts its campaign against Lautoka at 7pm on Tuesday October 6 and then face arch rivals Suva on Wednesday at 5pm. Their last pool match will be against Nasinu on Thursday at 1pm.
