The deadline for the use of the balance on Homes-CARE M-Paisa Cards has been extended for another month until August 31, 2018.

The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation has reviewed the expiry date, which was initially set at July 31, 2018, for the utilization of Homes-CARE M-Paisa Card balance, because of the unavailability of approved building materials and household items with the approved vendors.

Assisted Fijian citizens who had received their Homes-CARE cards, but are yet to receive approved items from selected hardware and retail stores now have until the revised date of August 31, 2018 to utilize funds loaded onto their M-Paisa Cards.

The extension of the Homes-CARE programme is the result of requests received by concerned Fijian citizens who felt that they may lose out if they were unable to use the M-Paisa Card.

The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation wishes to advise Fijian citizens that the initiative has to be used within this extended time frame.
