June 3 is
International World Bicycle Day.

The day was marked by
the United Nations General Assembly in April 2018.

Fiji also marks World
Bicycle Day today as Cycling Fiji and Courts Fiji came together to create the
awareness.

On this day, various
bicycle rallies and competitions were held to encourage people to use this mode
of transport more often as it keeps one physically and mentally fit.

Cycling can keep many
diseases at bay and doesn’t pollute the environment.

It helps reduce the
risk of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and many other health issues.

Cycling also is cost-effective.
