Nadi Football coach Pranesh Amarsee says he needs to work on the fitness level of the players in order to be competent in the Vodafone Premier League.

Amarsee made these comments after their hard-fought 1-0 win over Tavua at Prince Charles Park on Sunday.

“It was very much evident that our players are not fit,” Amarsee said.

“We really need to work on to it.”

He said discipline is another issue that needs to be addressed on.

Rupeni Rabici was red carded in the 61st minute after he deliberately fouled Tavua’s Atunaisa Livanalagi who had beaten all the Nadi defenders with only goalkeeper Vereti Dickson to beat.

Referee Dinamani Mudaliar did not hesitate to flash him his second yellow card and showed him the marching orders.
Tavua dominated the second half, however poor finishing led them down.
