Around 200 people have gathered for the three days Archdiocese of Suva Synod Sessions at Novotel Hotel in Lami.
The conference will give an opportunity for the members of the Catholic Church in Fiji around the country to express their opinions and concerns to the Archbishop Peter Loy Chong.
It was twenty nine years ago when the members of the Catholic Church in Fiji gathered for the same purpose to express their views on how the leadership of the church can be improved.
Archbishop Peter Loy Chong says the conference invites members to share their hopes in a consultative process.
The conference will also be an opportunity to address key issues that is raised including church governance.
Archbishop Chong says concerns raised will be reflected upon with the counsel of priests and the church with developed a pastoral plan to address these concerns.
