More than seventy Employees contracted under the China Railways First Group Company are still in the dark on why their contracts were terminated last Saturday.

The workers who have been working on the Nakasi to Nausori Road Upgrade Project are seeking a reasonable explanation on why such Action has been taken by their Employers.

In response to the queries sent, Fiji Roads Authority Chief Executive officer, Jonathan Moore said that works under this contract are severely delayed and FRA is taking actions to manage the contract back on track.

Moore said there are changes in the contractual relationship between FRA and China Railway First Group that may have precipitated this action by them to Terminate workers.

FRA will be issuing a full statement early next week.
