New Zealand Breakers owner and CEO Matt Walsh says re-signing star
import Scotty Hopson is a “priority” for the team in the offseason.

Walsh also confirmed the club is heavily chasing locals Isaac Fotu and Tai Webster.
Walsh said he would “love to see” Hopson, Fotu and Webster in
Breakers uniforms next season, but acknowledged the different situations
each player finds themselves in.
Hopson averaged 19.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.7 assists last season
and Walsh believes the 30-year-old will have the opportunity to explore
NBA options.
Fotu (Universo Treviso – Italy) and Webster (Galatasaray – Turkey)
have both been playing overseas but with the COVID-19 pandemic changing
the global basketball landscape, Walsh is hoping the duo stay in New
Zealand.
