The Attorney General and Minister for Education, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, would like to wish all students the Best of Luck as they sit their External Exams from today.

Sayed-Khaiyum adds the students have spent the past two terms taking in lessons, studying and preparing for these tests, and it’s important they give their best effort in this final stretch.

According to Sayed-Khaiyum, sometimes opportunities were given, not on the basis of merit, but on the basis of privilege, of social status, ethnicity, or on religious grounds, but they dsy they have brought those days to an end.

So as you prepare for your exams, do so with the knowledge that your effort will be rewarded.

With all that being said, Sayed-Khaiyum adds students should remember, no exam is the sole determinant of your future.

There will be choices, opportunities and twists and turns throughout your entire lives, but know that the Ministry of Education will be there to support you, no matter where you may be, no matter what you may want to learn, and no matter what time in your life you seek further education.
