Ben Volavola has called time on his two-year stint at Racing 92 and is set to step down into the Pro D2.
The Fijian has spent the majority of his stay in Paris playing second fiddle to Finn Russell, starting just two matches this past season alone.
The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians fly-half Ben Volavola will drop down to the French second tier at the end of his contract with Racing 92, signing a lucrative one-year deal with Perpignan.
The 29-year-old, had multiple clubs interested with Bristol Bears also offering him a single-season deal, which was made public by the French media.
According to L’Indépendant , Volavola, who can cover three positions fly-half, fullback and centre, will sign his contract this week electronically.
He has accumulated 32 caps for his country, scoring 198 points and has previously played for Super Rugby clubs such as the Waratahs, Crusaders, and most recently the Rebels.
The Sydney born Volavola has also represented Fiji in two Rugby World Cups in 2015 and 2019.
