The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, in his first official assignment after the 2018 General Elections, today reminded Fiji Corrections Service officers that they had a role to play in maintaining public confidence in the justice system.
The Head of Government, while speaking at the pass-out parade at Naboro, told the 78 graduating correction officers that they “will be on the front lines of building that confidence by adhering to the highest standards of professionalism in enforcing our laws and ensuring the sentences determined by our courts are served”.

Three officers underwent 18 months of training while the other 75 received the basic 14 week training.

Officers were also awarded for excelling in different areas of their training.
