Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama on the margins of the 74th session of the UNGA met with his New Zealand counterpart Jacinda Arden in New York.

During the meeting Bainimarama reaffirmed his personal commitment to building a stronger bilateral relationship with New Zealand.

Bainimarama also commended the New Zealand government for its support towards UN peacekeeping efforts and contributions in the Middle East, especially in UNDOF.

Other areas of discussion during the meeting included greater collaboration in the areas of trade and investment and climate change.
