Some of the big names could miss out the opening leg of the HSBC World Sevens Series which kicks off next month.

Kalione Nasoko is still recovering from the injury sustained in the last season where there are few other players who trying to recover in time to make the final squad to Dubai leg.

Baber is expected to name his team next week.

With two weeks until the 2019 Dubai 7s three-day tournament start, Fiji Airways National 7s team continues their preparation for one of the premier legs of the HSBC Sevens Series.

One of only a handful of tournaments for each competing series, Dubai is the beginning of the men’s year.

Coach Gareth Baber is looking forward to an improvement after loss in the Oceania 7s as he works with players trying to trim down his squad for Dubai 7s.

Fiji is pooled with France, Argentina, and Japan in the Dubai 7s which begins on the 6th of next month.

Baber says he has been working on the fitness level of the players in order to be competent in the world series.

Consistency is always the key to a long series, so the better the start at the 2019 Dubai 7s will promote that team and boost their chances of a successful campaign.

Fiji last won the Dubai 7s in 2015.

Baber is expected to finalize his squad for the Dubai and Cape Town 7s next week.

Fiji is pooled with France, Argentina and Japan in Dubai.

The Dubai 7s will be held from the 5th to the 7th of next month.
