The Ba football side came from behind to beat Labasa 2-1 in an exciting Vodafone Premier League clash at Fiji FA Academy ground in Ba this afternoon.

It was Siotame Kubu that put the Babasiga Lions into the lead in the 17th minute after an easy tap-in following Ilisoni Logaivou’s corner kick which was deflected off the post.

Labasa led 1-0 at the breather.

The climax of the game was in the 70th minute when Labasa’s top defender Antonio Tuivuna was shown a direct red card for a violent conduct and Ba took control of the game.

Sanaila Waqanicakau found the equalizer in the 79th minute before blasting in the winner two minutes later.

The win brings Ba to the second spot on the current standings with 12 points having one match on hand against Suva in round 1 while Labasa is on 6th place with 7 points after their first round of matches.
