Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, this morning receives a $FJ30million cheque from Fiji Airports Limited as the Company’s dividend to Government- after making an audited net operating profits before tax of $FJ79.2m in 2018.

The dividend was handed over to Sayed-Khaiyum by board member and Turaga na Tui Macuata Ratu Wiliame Katonivere and Fiji Airports Acting chief executive officer, Faiz Khan.

Sayed-Khaiyum acknowledged the company’s commitment for its continuous support in exploring innovative ways to increasing and improving all aviation infrastructures around the country.He adds that such dividends is a reflection of great performance and improvements. It signifies growth.

Today’s payment of $FJ30million by way of dividend brings the company’s total dividends payout of $175m to the Government, over the last six years.
