Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and Minister for Economy participated in the first online 2019/2020 National Budget Consultation in Suva yesterday.

The forum was a platform for tertiary students from around the country to highlight their ideas, post questions and provide a feedback for the next financial year budget.

The online session covered a few areas of concerns that were raised by students which included; Government bus fare subsidy, upgrade of roads and bridges in most remote and rural areas, rural electrification, proper water supply, Tertiary Scholarship & Loans Board (TSLB) and scholarships etc.

The online budget consultation session received more than 800 comments from students from around the country.

The next online budget consultation session will commence from 5pm-8pm today.
