ANZ Fiji today announced it has extended its sponsorship of ANZ Stadium until 2022, in line with its continuing commitment to sport at all levels in Fiji.
ANZ Fiji Country Head, Saud Minam, said: “Fijians are passionate about sport and ANZ Stadium is the most iconic stadium in the region, with more than 150,000 people attending events there every year.
“Having access to quality sport and recreational
facilities plays an important role in developing and sustaining communities.
“Our sponsorship is now in its 8th
year, and reinforces ANZ’s continuing commitment to Fiji.”
Fiji Sports Council Chief Executive Officer, Litiana
Loabuka said ANZ Bank’s continuous investment in t stadium plays a major role
in developing sport for the country and its people.
“We are truly thankful for the commitment ANZ Bank has
made to the Council in continuing to be a prime naming rights sponsor for the
national stadium, Mrs Loabuka said.
“This sponsorship allows us to further
contribute to many facets of sport development which directly assist with
athlete development while offering our stakeholders the commercial viability to
host ever-increasing national and international events which have been
thoroughly enjoyed both in person and via broadcast.”
ANZ Stadium hosts a series of international events,
including four consecutive years of super rugby matches, test matches for rugby
union and national rugby league and the Oceania athletics meet.
