Andy Ruiz greeted the royal family, media and fans at a huge grand arrival ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, ahead of his rematch this Sunday with Anthony Joshua.
In June, Ruiz spoiled the U.S. debut of then-undefeated heavyweight kingpin Joshua leaving New York as the  unified IBF, WBA, IBO and WBO world heavyweight champion.
Both fighters were interviewed by SKY SPORTS in Saudi Arabia….
The Ruiz upset is considered one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight boxing history, drawing comparisons to other historic heavyweight upsets such as Buster Douglas’ shocking victory over Mike Tyson and Hasim Rahman’s knockout win over Lennox Lewis.
Regarding the rumors of Joshua looking impressive in sparring, Ruiz is not concerned with any of that talk and believes it will make no difference in the ring.
Sunday morning event itself has been compared to the Rumble In The Jungle or the Thrilla In Manila, which is accurate in that they were heavyweight title bouts that took place in unique locations.
The course of Joshua’s career, and perhaps ultimately his legacy, rests on this fight.
The Andy Ruiz and Anthony Joshua build up fights will start at 5am on Sunday.
