Investigations continue, into the alleged sexual assault case of a year one student, in Savusavu last week.

Police says that they have yet to bring in the two suspects for questioning.

The two year eight students are alleged to have sexually assaulted the victim, who is a Year 1 student, inside a classroom on the 12th of this month.

The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to the Savusavu hospital, but has been since been discharged earlier this week, and is recovering at home.

Police investigators are working closely on this case – but at this point cannot rush through it, as the victim is a child.

They would need to allow for her to be comfortable enough, to talk to investigators, and only then will they pursue the matter.
