The Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum met with several Ministers from the Australian Government in Canberra yesterday to discuss funding proposals for projects that can be financed through the newly announced two billion dollars Australian Infrastructure Financing Facility for the Pacific.

This two billion dollars infrastructure initiative is Australia’s support for infrastructure development in Pacific countries. It will use grant funding combined with long term loans to support high priority infrastructure development.

Discussions were also on advancing Fiji-Australia bilateral relationship, enhancing trade and investment flows and fostering closer partnership in areas of mutual interest.
