The car of a man who allegedly fell off to sleep while driving along Nanuku in Pacific Harbour this afternoon, had tumbled over as he veered off the road.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed that the driver fell off to sleep.

The driver was traveling with another adult and two children who sustained injuries and were treated at the Navua Hospital.

The three passengers he was traveling with, woke him up.

But after waking up, the driver was startled and veered off the road, causing the vehicle to tumble over.

Eyewitnesses at the the scene said the three passengers and driver are lucky to have escaped death, or they would have lost their lives before Christmas which is just a few days away.
