A discussion session on the operational strategic priorities of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the next 10 years saw the engagement of civil society organisations from the Asia-Pacific region.
The discussion- as one of the side meetings on day one of the 52nd ADB Annual Meeting- was held at Westin Resort in Denarau and addressed ADB’s seven operational priorities as it charts the way the bank will position itself in the next 10 years in regards to ongoing and emerging issues such as poverty and climate change.
Accelerating progress in gender equality, making cities more livable, sanitation, food security and pollution were the key issues highlighted with emphasis on their commonalities with climate change as many are crosscutting thereby requiring holistic solutions.
