In the past week Fiji Red Cross Branches in the Western Division organized their Volunteer Branch trainings for Climate Sensitive diseases (Leptospirosis, Typhoid, Dengue & Diarrhoea), as well as COVID-19 second phase training, amongst other key trainings in Child protection and Social Stigma.
These trainings are a follow-up to the Divisional Training of Trainers held last month, in the move towards ensuring volunteers are equipped with the right knowledge and skills before they undertake house to house messaging/community outreach in Health in Emergencies, as part of the TC Harold recovery, as well as the COVID-19 second phase in addressing Social Stigma and the changing emphases of the COVID-19 pandemic.
