All six secondary colleges belonging to the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji will be opened as scheduled on Tuesday.

The survey done, since colleges resumed classes, reveals that Year 12 and Year13 student attendance percentile ranges from 50 to 100 percent.

The lowest turnout is at DAV Girls college and this may be because the girls may have returned to their island homes.

All Year 12 and 13 students of DAV College, Ba returned to school on Tuesday.

Each school is following up on the absentee students on a daily basis.

The Sabha is hopeful that with the primary and secondary schools returning next week, student attendance will greatly improve.

Within the restrictive COVID19 regulations, the Sabha is hopeful that staff and students will together make the difference and bring the desired academic results in the new normal school environment.

The Sabha appeals to teachers and students to be responsible and adhere to ground rules laid down by the Ministry and help keep Fiji contain COVID19.
