63 Children attended the first -ever Symposium of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene hosted by Save the Children Fiji at Rakiraki this week.
Save the Children-Chief Executive Officer- Sahirana Ali says the symposium provides children a safe space and a platform to discuss issues pertaining to WASH
The two day event promotes safe hygiene practices and allows children to share their plans on how to keep their schools and communities safe from diseases such as dengue, leptospirosis,typhoid and Diarrhoea outbreaks.
With the Theme: ‘Strengthening Knowledge and Resilience-Empowering Children As Agents of Change’.
Stakeholders present at the event included the Ministry of Health, Provincial Council, zone nurses and community members.
