Hundreds of people came together at the My Suva Park this morning to Celebrate the Fifth International Day of Yoga, With this years Theme: Yoga for Climate Action.

While Officiating at the Event-Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister-Yogesh Karan says the Government of Fiji is trying to Educate people on healthy living for a healthier lifestyle.

Karan said the benefits of yoga were infinite and it had the potential to cure many diseases.

Yoga is an ancient physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated India and today it is practiced all over the world and has gained popularity.

For Internationally Qualified Yoga Instructor-Sangeeta Kumar says Yoga is not classified by Age.

Yoga Student Shomal Chand of Lautoka who has been practicing for the past 5 years believes Yoga is a Remedy for all Health and Social problems.

International Day of Yoga aims to Raise Awareness world wide on the many benefits of practicing Yoga. The Event was organized by the High Commission of India-Suva
