In the Fijian Government’s most recent budget, an additional $60 Million was set aside for grid extension and house wiring to 6,623 households.
The Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Disaster Management & Meteorological Services, Jone Usamate, in saying this, commissioned the Electrification Project in Gaunavou Low Cost Housing today.
“Out of the $60 million, Government has spent $544,442 for this development which includes grid extension and house wiring projects for the 53 households in our Gaunavou Low Cost Housing community benefiting approximately 265 individuals,” Usamate said.
