It is your Government’s vision to establish Fiji as a well-educated and knowledge based knowledge.
This was highlighted by Minister for Infrastructure and Transport- Jone Usamate during the closing of the Fiji National University’s Technical and Vocational Training at Kalabu Village this week.
A total of 434 received certificates for completing the training.
The primary objective of the project is to train and empower rural communities and villages with basic practical skills and knowledge that are relevant and necessary to their immediate and future needs.
The training also hopes to address the productive use of local natural resources as a means to alleviate rural poverty situations as well as introduce business ideas to encourage entrepreneurship.
From 2012 to date, more than twenty seven thousand participants have undertaken this course nationwide.
