43 Fijian women graduated from Almanah Hope Centre in Lautoka today.

The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation has supported this center with $100,000 in grants over the past two years.

Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Mereseini Vuniwaqa said women’s economic empowerment is the right and smart investment and also an indispensable one. For poverty eradication, for inclusive, sustained and rapid economic growth, for reducing inequality and leaving no one behind and for the sustainable development of all as promised in 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Vuniwaqa commended the training center’s work and commitment to building the economic participation of Fijian women.

Almanah Hope Centre is managed by Lifebread Stay Connected (Fiji), a ministry headed by Pastor Raymond and Nadira Moti.
