A total of thirty-two arrests were made in the last 24 hour period for COVID-19 related breaches with the Southern Division recording the highest number of reported cases.
The Southern Division recorded twenty-four of the total number of arrests, fourteen for breach of curfew and ten for sporting activities. Of the 14 breach of curfew arrests recorded in the Southern Division, an off-duty Police Officer was arrested in Narere while a Fiji Corrections Services Officer was arrested along Princess Road.
The reports of sporting activity breach from the Southern Division saw the arrest of three juveniles aged 14, 15 and 16years as they were playing touch rugby with another 20 year old in Tacirua.
In Navua, six men were arrested as they were also found playing touch rugby at the Pacific Harbour Beach. Both the Central and Western Divisions recorded three reports of curfew breach while the Northern Division recorded two reports.
