The Ministry of Fisheries Aquaculture Division held their 2nd Quarter Review today at the Centre for Approriate Technology and Development in Nadave.
Officers from around the country presented on the progress of their work and the challenges that they faced during the quarter.
In closing the one day meeting, Principal Fisheries Officer (Aquaculture), Mere Lakeba challenged the officers to perform to the best of their abilities moving forward.
“We are a young and vibrant team, and we need to stamp our mark through the work that we do,” she said.
The Ministry of Fisheries is working towards revitalising the aquaculture sector in the country through encouraging more farmers to start their own farms which will in turn ease some pressure from our coastal fisheries.
