Twenty-eight arrests were made in the last 24 hours with breach of curfew arrests making up twenty-two reports.

The Western Division recorded ten reports and all were for breach of curfew.

The Southern Division recorded twelve reports, six for breach of curfew and six for sports.

The 6 breach of sporting activities involved four students aged between 11 and 16 years who were found playing touch rugby with two adults aged 19 and 21 years in Vesida.

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho says it is never an easy situation to see young children be taken into custody with their parents and guardians, however to avoid these situations, parents and guardians need to be fully alert and know the whereabouts of their children at all times.

The Northern Division recorded five cases, all for breach of curfew while East recorded one report.

The Central Division recorded nil reports.

Special court sittings will be called in Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Nasinu and Suva.
