Minister for Infrastructure-Jone Usamate commissioned the Nawaqadamu Village – Rural Water Project this week.
He says the Fijian Government aims for all Fijians to access safe drinking water by 2030.
The $201,000 water project will benefit 52 households, Nasesevia Secondary School and Burua Primary School as well as 10 Teacher’s quarters located in the interior part of Nadi.
A construction of two new dams and two cement tanks will ensure a clean and steady flow of water for the community. The project was implemented by the Water Authority of Fiji’s Rural Unit.
