Twelve students graduated with Advanced Certificate in Applied Woodcraft Technology today at the Forestry Training Centre at Colo-i-Suva.
Graduates were reminded to use their qualification and contribute effectively to help the timber industry prosper.
While addressing the graduate, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Forestry Pene Baleinabuli told the graduates to use their qualification to earn a living for themselves and their families.
Makereta Sekawa, one of the three female graduates said she has learnt a lot despite the challenges faced by women being in the male dominant field.
The graduates are the first lot to get the Advanced Certificate in Applied Woodcraft Technology in Fiji.
