An 11-year-old boy has been arrested for breach of COVID-19 restrictions. Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirms the boy, from Vesida is the youngest to be charged for playing sports. People have been warned that any sporting activity is banned as it puts people at risk of contracting COVID-19.

The boys was arrested with five others, one a 16-year-old, and two adults aged 19 and 21 years.

The group of boys were arrested for playing touch rugby.

A total of 28 people were arrested in the last 24 hours for breach of curfew and playing sports.
