Nasinu Football Association received a timely $10,000 sponsorship boost from AMPS Industries for the remainder of the Vodafone Premier League (VPL) 2020 season.
The Association announced this sponsorship deal with the construction company last night.
Association president Oneil Chand said they are extremely grateful for the support given by AMPS Industries as the sponsorship would be the lone income for the association.
“We have been struggling a lot since we came into premier division in getting sponsorship but this is the most timely assistance for the association,” said Lal
An emotional Lal said he never expected such a huge relief would come their way.
“This is a great boost for the association and the players and I thank our former president Ashok Balgovind for negotiating the deal for us.
“Balgovind has proved that he is a true Nasinu man not only getting in the sponsorship but he always supports the team whenever help is needed,” said Lal.
Lal said they have been selling lunch to raise funds to prepare the team for the cpetitions.
“We didn’t have a sponsor but we sold lunch to raise funds to support the players and our main priority is always the welfare of our players and this sponsorship is a big aid for us.
“I heartily thank the managing director of AMPS Industries Avron Prasad and his family and also Ashok Balgovind in helping us secure the sponsorship.”
“Our players have promised to give the best mileage to the company and we know every business in the country is struggling but for sure AMPS Industries will surely grow with our support,” said Lal
Company representative Laukesh Lal, while handing over the $10,000 cheque, said he was impressed with the performance of Nasinu team.
“Nasinu is known as Giant Killers and they have proved this in many tournaments and matches and I am sure the sponsorship will surely boost their campaign in the remaining league fixtures.”
“Apart from the sponsorship from AMPS Industries, I will personally donate 20 balls and bibs for the team,” added Lal.
The AMPS Industries Nasinu will face Punjas Battle of the Giants champion and current VPL leaders FoodCity Rewa in the Vodafone Premier League fixture at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori.
The match kicks off at 2pm.
