The Fijian Government has assured Fijians living in small towns that the same services offered in big towns and cities will be provided to them.
This assurance was made by Acting Prime Minister and Attorney-General Hon. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum while opening the $4m Cuvu complex in Cuvu, Sigatoka.
The Acting PM highlighted that their job is to create an enabling environment for everyone and provided examples of development happening around the country such as in the Maru area and in areas around Sigatoka where development creates a little community and a center of trade.
“As a result of this you will see a lot of trade happening here. From a national perspective, you don’t have to travel longer distance so you save on fuel, you have less carbon-footprint when you burn less fuel our carbon-footprint is much lower.
“So overall it helps in the well-being of the community and the country.”
The Acting PM also acknowledged local investors for having confidence in the country and for their continuous investment.
